Deep Dive Technical Analysis
My daily drivers are iPhone 15 Pro Max (1TB), iPad mini (A17 Pro/512GB/Cellular), and Galaxy Z Fold 6 (512GB), so I’m coming at this from a high-end perspective. My standards are pretty demanding.
Display Quality
I was expecting some compromises compared to Retina displays, but the OLED panel is gorgeous – smooth as silk with 120Hz refresh rate that absolutely destroys my iPhone 15 Pro Max and 60Hz-capped iPad mini. Zero complaints about visual quality.
Audio Performance

- Genshin Impact: High quality, 30fps stable. Even when the screen gets completely buried in particle effects (which is this game’s biggest flaw), zero lag. 60fps mode throws a thermal warning but 30 minutes of continuous combat didn’t make it uncomfortably hot
- Wuthering Waves: High quality, 30fps rock solid. The combat system prevents total screen saturation with effects, but when I tried to overwhelm it, no dice. 60fps works great too, same thermal performance
- Zenless Zone Zero: High quality, 30fps perfection. The character swapping system is super smooth, and since this game doesn’t go crazy with screen-filling effects, it’s incredibly stable. 60fps works like a dream
- Wizardry Variants Daphne: High quality, 60fps no sweat. This is my current addiction, and I was worried since the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite crashed on combat entry, but this beast handled it perfectly
Gaming performance is absolutely solid. If iPad apps feel more optimized, that’s just platform-specific tuning, not a performance deficit.
S Pen Experience
Different design from the Tab S10 Lite’s stylus, but the responsiveness and writing feel are excellent. The AI sketch-to-anime feature is hit-or-miss – my cat drawings turned into eldritch horrors, and the AI’s idea of beauty didn’t match mine at all. Your mileage may vary depending on artistic skill and aesthetic preferences. Samsung’s AI push is interesting timing with Grok’s Ani-chan being adorable and new players like Zeta creating surprisingly engaging narrative experiences.
Final Verdict
Here’s my honest assessment:
- Solid engineering overall
- Gorgeous large display with excellent responsiveness, but 14.6″ is not travel-friendly
- Impressively thin and light for the size, but structural rigidity is questionable
- Excellent audio with proper stereo regardless of orientation
- Handles virtually any mobile game without breaking a sweat
- 256GB + 1TB SD card is the value play; 512GB pricing makes less sense
- If you’re considering 512GB + 2TB SD card, maybe price-check gaming laptops first
- For the right user, this is genuinely a “nothing else comes close” device
This definitely isn’t for everyone, and it’s not a beginner-friendly price point or feature set. But if you need a 13″+ tablet, iPads are off the table, and this clearly leads the Android pack. The bundled S Pen doesn’t phone it in either. If this hits your use case and you’re confident you’ll actually use it to its potential, go for it. It’s a legitimately powerful tool. But remember this universal gadget truth:
Hardware only amplifies your abilities – it doesn’t create value by itself. Value comes from YOUR actions and creativity.
If you can honestly say “yeah, this looks like a solid tool for what I do,” and the price doesn’t make you wince, then absolutely pull the trigger.
